That FX-9370 CPU can pull up 230 Watts all by itself. See some of the posts in this thread for more details: So, even though you can find them at very low prices now, I'd avoid the V300 (as you'd probably get one of them using the cheaper memory type if buying one now). IOW, basically, they released the V300 using a faster memory type and processing then changed it later after the major review sites had already tested it. But, I'd strongly suggest you'd avoid some of their SSDs like the V300 that you'll find on sale at low prices lately, because they've changed the type of memory used in them since they were first introduced, resulting in dramatically slower speeds for already compressed data (like you'd have with most image file formats, video file formats, etc.) Kingston has made some good SSDs in the past. Personally, I'd go with one of the newer Samsung Models (or perhaps one of the newer Intel Models). I'd be cautious about your SSD selection. Backs up files in real time as you change them.ĥ00-600 watts is fine for power supply. I use a WD My Book Live network connected 3TB drive for backup. I run two 1 TB Seagate Barracuda drives in Windows 8 Storage Spaces Simple configuration, which is equivalent to RAID0. Western Digital Black HD 640gb x 2 RAID 0 (Media Files) I think the value performance SSD choice is the Samsung 120 GB EVO 840. With your 4K monitor and video editing, the video card requires some care in selection. G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1600
I find the Fan Expert control system very useful in dealing with the significant heat load of these processors and the built in overclocking utility helpful in getting reasonable performance out of them without going into the serious manual overclocking. Not sure it will be up to the job on a FX-9370, as noted above. Or, just buy a FX-8350 and overclock it yourself.Ĭooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing Does the FX-9350 come with a stock cooler that works? If so, you may be better off with it. The amount is cooler limited, and I use a Cooler Master 612 cooler, which is bigger than the one you have selected. I have the FX-8350, and I believe the FX-9370 is just an overclocked FX-8350. Will this configuation be able to handle 4K? I am on a a budget around $900.
Just want to know if it will be fast enought to run the GH4's 4K in Premiere Pro CC.
Just wanted some feedback on a new editing PC that I'm building.
